This is a 10-mile bike ride leaving and returning to Mole Hill Bikes. This all paved route will take you through beautiful Shenandoah Valley farming country and across the local landmark "Mole Hill". Parking is free at the shop and you are welcome to park and ride anytime. The shop has complimentary water and restrooms during business hours, and there is a 24/7 repair stand and inflation center outside of the shop.

Appalachian Trail The year 2011 marked the 75th anniversary of Shenandoah National Park. The park offers many adventurous, fun and relaxing activities for people of all ages. In addition to the 500 miles of trails that lead hikers to waterfalls and vistas, the Appalachian Trail runs through the Park. Skyline Drive, the park’s scenic byway, has over 75 overlooks providing spectacular views. The Swift Run Gap Entrance in your gateway to the Shenandoah National Park and is located on U.S. Route 33 East, less than 30 minutes from the City of Harrisonburg. So, make your journey a destination and visit Shenandoah National Park!

The Battle of Cross Keys was part of Stonewall Jackson’s Valley Campaign and took place on June 8, 1862. Confederate successes on the field kept two Federal armies from uniting. Cross Keys saw one of the most effective uses of Confederate artillery during the war.
The Battle of Port Republic was part of Stonewall Jackson’s Valley Campaign and took place on June 9, 1862. This victory concluded the first Valley Campaign and enabled Jackson’s army to leave the Valley to aid in Richmond’s defense.
