​Kid's Fishing Day
After a one-year hiatus due to Covid-19, Rockingham County Parks & Recreation is excited to announce the return of Kid’s Fishing Day for the spring of 2021!!  The event will be held on Saturday April 17th and a new partnership with Massanutten Resort has led to an exciting new location as Painters Pond will be the site of this year’s event.  Details of the event are still being considered, be on the lookout for more information to be available on our website in early February.  Due to Covid-19, this year’s event will require online registration to reserve your spot, registration will begin online the week of February 7th.

Drive in Bingo

Join us as we reunite our area senior groups for a morning of Bingo held in a safe manner. When you arrive, each person in the vehicle will receive their Bingo cards to allow you to play while remaining in your own vehicle. We will announce the numbers which will be broadcasted through your car vehicle’s FM radio. We will play 15 rounds and will be giving away prizes from local businesses. This event will be limited to our area seniors, ages 50 plus.

Mobile Food Pantry
Need Groceries? If you need food assistance, we can help. Food will be distributed on the second Thursday each morning from 10am-12pm at Plains District Community Center in Timberville. This is open to everyone and no paperwork is needed. This service is co-sponsored with the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank and MARTIN’S Family Foundation.
