[ARCHIVED] Volunteers Needed for Harrisonburg-Rockingham Bike-Ped Count

Please join us for the second annual Harrisonburg-Rockingham Bicycle & Pedestrian Count!
We need volunteers to help us count bikers and walkers at 20 locations in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County.

These counts will help Harrisonburg and Rockingham County measure changes in the number of people biking and walking, and whether improvements are needed or should be prioritized at these count sites. The local counts will also become a part of the National Bicycle & Pedestrian Documentation Project‘s national database of biking and walking trends.

Count Dates & Times:
Tues. September 10, 10:30am-12:30pm
Tues. September 10, 5pm-7pm
Sat. September 14, 12noon-2pm
Sun. September 15, 9am-11am

Volunteers should plan for 20-30 minutes before and after count times to pick up and drop off materials and get to their count site.
If this is your first time volunteering for the Bicycle & Pedestrian Count, you must attend a 1-hour training on either Tuesday August 27 or Tuesday September 3 from 6-7pm.

If you can volunteer to help out on one or more of these dates/times, please contact Thanh Dang at thanh.dang@harrisonburgva.gov with your name, phone number, and preferred count date/time/location. Feel free to invite a buddy to count at the same location with you!
