Rockingham County Hires Mongold as Human Resources Director

Rockingham County is pleased to announce that Jennifer J. Mongold has been appointed Director of Human Resources effective September 22, 2014. Ms. Mongold replaces Mr. Stephen Riddlebarger, who is retiring on August 31, 2014.

Ms. Mongold joins Rockingham County with 15 years’ experience in the human resources field, most recently serving as Human Resources Manager for the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Community Services Board. She brings experience in administering and managing human resources functions in both the private and public sectors. She is a member of the National Society for Human Resources Management and the Shenandoah Valley Society for Human Resources Management.

Ms. Mongold received her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the State University of New York at Oswego.

In the position of Director of Human Resources, Ms. Mongold will serve as a member of the executive management team responsible for assisting the County Administrator in day-to-day activities related to recruitment and retention of employees, training, employee benefit management, and compliance with federal and state laws and regulations related to employee relations.
