PUBLIC NOTICE
The Rockingham County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing at its August 24, 2022 meeting, commencing at 7:00 p.m., at the Rockingham County Administration Center, 20 East Gay Street, Harrisonburg, Virginia, to take public comment on the supplemental appropriation of American Rescue Plan Act funds for FY 22-23 Budget.
ARPA – American Rescue Plan Act
The purpose of this amendment and appropriation is to authorize the expenditure of $14,900,000 of proceeds from American Rescue Plan Act and the General Fund Reserve. The U.S. Department of Treasury guidance allows the ARPA funds to be used for expenses associated with the provision of revenue loss and broadband. Funds will be used to support the local public safety division and provide broadband to the underserved in our community.
