PUBLIC NOTICE
The Rockingham County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing at its meeting July 10, 2013, at 6:00 p.m. at the Rockingham County Administration Center, 20 East Gay Street, Harrisonburg, Virginia, to take public comment on the Board’s intention to sell, transfer, lease long or short term, or otherwise convey all or a portion of its interest in the property described as follows:
Pursuant to the terms of a real estate exchange contract, which contract is contingent upon rezoning of certain acres, the County will be conveyed title to a certain 71.933 acres of real estate, now known as Indian Trail Farm, LLC, and shown as the residue of tax map parcel 126-(2)-A on a plat of a survey made by Hal T. Benner, L.S., dated March 13, 2013, which plat is entitled DIVISION SURVEY OF A 75.450 ACRE TRACT.
As shown on a second plat made by Hal T. Benner, L.S., dated March 12, 2013, entitled PROPOSED REZONING PLAT ON TAX MAP PARCEL 126 (2) A, 9.832 Acres are to be presented to the Board of Supervisors for its consideration for rezoning to B1 conditional. If the rezoning is approved and all other contingencies of the real estate exchange agreement are satisfied, the County intends to sell, transfer, lease long or short term, or otherwise convey all or portions of its interest in the 9.832 acres of the land proposed for rezoning. The County will own approximately 2/3 of the rezoned real estate.
Copies of the two plats referred to above and all other information concerning this matter is on file in the County Administrator’s Office, 20 East Gay Street, Harrisonburg, Virginia, and is available for public inspection during regular business hours.
