Matt Dale was elected to the Rockingham County Board of Supervisors on November 4, 2025 and began representing the District 3 in January 2026. His priorities on the Board include maintaining the rural and agricultural character of our County, competently and efficiently providing essential public services with the least amount of tax payer dollars possible, and encouraging responsible economic development and business growth.
Dale serves as President and Owner of Blue Dragon Defense and Thin Air Gear, both small manufacturing companies serving primarily state and federal government customers. He is also an adjunct professor in the College of Business at James Madison University, an Associate Director on the board of the Shenandoah Valley Soil and Water Conservation District, and represented District 3 on the Rockingham County Planning Commission for two years prior to his election. He holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Eastern Mennonite University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies & Political Science, with a minor in Writing, from the Virginia Military Institute.
He lives in Massanetta Springs with his wife and son.
