GIS / Mapping

A geographic information system (GIS) integrates computer technology to collect, manage, analyze, and display information and data for the County. The information is arranged as data layers in the form of parcels, roads, boundaries, etc. The GIS map is searchable and can be used to find specific locations and information.

Although the GIS division is maintained and operated within the Department of Community Development, GIS maps are used by many other departments, including Commissioner of Revenue, Public Works, Voter Registrar, County Schools, and Emergency Services to review and analyze data.
