All incoming erosion and sediment control plans are reviewed, revised, and approved prior to issuance of any permits. Plan review consists of a comprehensive in-house technical analysis to confirm that sound engineering principles and practices were used in all design parameters and computations.
Site visits are also performed as part of the plan review process on every project to verify predeveloped conditions and identify potential impacts to downstream properties so that the applicant can proactively address any potential problems. View the Plan Review Checklist.
By law, the County has 60 days from the receipt of a complete set of plans and accompanying fees to review and comment. Generally, plan review turnaround is completed prior to the 60-day deadline.
