Location & Hours
The Rockingham County / Harrisonburg Landfill is open Monday through Saturday, 7:00 am – 4:30 pm.
All commercial haulers needing to dispose of waste at the Landfill will need to arrive before 4:15 pm
The Landfill is closed or has reduced operating hours on all major holidays.

Miscellaneous
- Dead animals - We only accept appointments for dead animals on Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 11:00 am. The charge is $70 per ton.
- White goods - no charge.
- Freon appliances - no charge.
- Bulk glass - City/County businesses - $14.50 per ton.
